Not flesh of my flesh, nor bone of my bone; but, still miraculously, my own.
Never forget, for a single minute you didn't grow under my heart, but in it.

Noah's surgery and hospital adventure

Noah had surgery monday morning about 7:30 am central time. He had to have his tonsils and adnoids removed as they were huge and causing alot of problems. The ent also decided to check on Noah's tubes and see how they were doing. Turns out the left tube was clogged with the same gunk that caused the original problems and they had to clean it out really good. He says Noah will have to have them cleaned in office every 2 months his wax issue is so bad. They came and got me as soon as he was in recovery so that he would see me first thing when he woke up. Funny, last time I begged for that and the nurses and all that day said it was NOT possible or allowed, this time I did not ask, and this group of nurses came and got me on their own cuz they knew he had only been home for 9 months! Go figure. Anyway I got to be holding him the first time he opened his eyes and was singin and rockin and talking to him before he even did. That was wonderful. They and I tried to get him to take bottle or cup but he wouldnt. They said he woudl when he gets home and they were away and all. We were home by 9 am. Well, not too long after Noah starting throwing up. They had said that might happen and not to worry unless it was alot. Well, it kept up but then stopped and he slept a lot. by 2pm he had not had a wet diaper all day and would not drink or eat a thing. I called the ent at that point and they said he had fluids during surgery and would be ok as long as he could drink by night. They called in phengran suppositories to stop the vomitting. So the day went on. He would either sleep, cry or throw up all day. Well, by evening he woke and wanted a drink and to eat a bit. So I was hopeful that the naseau from the anesthesia was gone, no such luck. He began to violently throw up, almost like convulse looking. It really began to scare me. I called ent line and got a message if emergency call your primary doctor. I called pediatrician and got the nurse on call and she said go to ER. So we did. they decided to try an iv with fluids , the meds he had thrown up all day and some more nauseau medicine. He had thrown up all the antibiotics adn pain meds and such. They thought they could get it in him for a couple hours and go home. They had FIVE failed attempts at putting iv in him before finaly the 6th time worked. POOR GUY! He was SOOO good. He barely cried at all, just a bit on and off but not like you would think. Evenutally when he still couldnt drink they just admitted him to hopsital and sent us up to peds. Things slowly began to improve. He has had alot of fluid adn antibiotics and such. Last night after a final iv dose of antibiotics they let us bring him home. We left about 9 pm. He was holding fluid and food down fine yesterday afternoon and evening. Well, this morning he woke up, ate breakfast and threw up! UGGH. I called pediatrician and he wanted to see him so off we go to docs. They gave him a shot for naseau and some more meds to bring home and said to keep him calm and quiet and go very slow on liquids and then add food again. Watch for signs of dehydration again and go from there. He has done better since we have been back though is drooling alot which is not normal for him. Anyway, please keep him in prayer as he continues to heal and all. Below are some pics for yall :)
This is in the admitting waiting room :) He was mr. personality at 6 am

Here are our matching bracelets! :)
Noah and "melmo! :) heehee

I thought this of him with hand on hip was adorable :)

gettin our gown on! :) He is already been given some meds!

Now the "funny drunk" time begins! :) He would just laugh for no reason! :) heehee I just held and held him before I had to let him go in to surgery.
This is later that night back at hospital in ER. He so does not feel good :(

FINALLY got the iv on 6th attempt. He was poked in both hands, both feet, both inner elbows. This was the last place they wanted to put it cuz the one in surgery that morning had been there and they did not was to do it on such a sore spot.

This is Noah when feelin better the next day sittin on cough playin with gift that one of his therapist brought when she came to see him :) See how they have the foot wrapped? to keep iv goin they had to bend foot down and put it on a board. He could not get up and stand or walk at all. HE was not thrilled about that when he felt better.

the lighting is bad but its Noah and Daddy!

This is a picture takin of Noah and I in a bouncy at Jumpin for Jeremiah! I have a bunch to share later when I post about the event. Did not have time before Noah's surgery and so will catch up later with a post about it and Father's Day and all. I will say the turnout was very low but Jumpin Jupiter was beyond wonderful and gave ALL they made that night. $140! I have a check to send direct to our agency! EVERY penny helps so we are thrilled!

We felt like we had Jeremiah with us in spirit because as we went to Noah's room at his surgery THIS frog was on the door! :) Also when he was admitted to peds there were frogs on wall outside his room up there! So frogie boy was with us in our hearts and little reminders!
Jeremiah sweetie pie. Mama aches to hold you in my arms and just stroke your skin and work your muscles and just let you know how much we love you. Your big brother keeps pointing at your picture and kissing you :) He loves you already just like we all do. Hang on sweet boy. SOMEHOW, SOMEWAY we will get the money and we will come and get you home! Catch my kisses in the wind sweet baby boy!

UPDATE FINALLY :) WOOHOO :) and other news :)

Just got new pictures of Jeremiah and some translated Nursery updates! :) I am soooo excited :) One of them they got him to smile! Woohoo :) Noah has a fit every time he sees the pictures and is talking to him :) heehee and kissing him. SOOOO CUTE :) So they said he is 18 pounds and 28 and half inches and his head circumference is 15 inches! Not bad for a 14 month old! It hit me today that Jeremiah is 2 and half months younger now than Noah was when we got him. Wow!

They also said he is eating well :) I was shocked by all he can eat :) see:
formula: 1150 cc a day
supplemental foods: Rice cereal, mashed rice, mashed fruits /veggie, mashed egg yolk and mashed rice. Steamed eggs and dessert egg custard.

These words were nice :)

"He likes to be held"

These worried me a bit for him but its ok :)
They said his hands and legs are rigid.
I can't wait to get him home and work those muscles myself and see what we can do to help them :)

Anyway, here are the pictures :)

I LOVE THIS SHOT! I LOVE THE SMILE! :) He is gorgeous :) I can't wait till that smile is directed at me :)

the picture of innocence here! For some reason that is what I thought when I saw this one! He just looks angelic here :)

awww so sweet :) I love these little things :) I have seen one with Noah in video when he was there, they have wheels. I would love one for when Jeremiah is home :)

In other news things here have been hoppin :) Lots goin on in our world and Panda Boy Noah is a busy busy bear! He is into everything, trying everything, trying to say everything! Busy busy :) He is more adorable by the day :) He is such a cuddly guy which I had worried about because with adoption and bonding and all you never know but he definitly is attaching and bonding and loves to give hugs, kisses and cuddles. He is so funny. I love his personality :) As do most in our world :) He will pick up a book with a picture of an animal or person face and kiss it. Everytime he sees Jeremiah's picture he kisses it and is now "talkin" to it :) SOOO cute :) I often wonder WHAT he is telling Jeremiah! heehee He has been such a helper and it is neat when we are out sitting selling candy bars in front of a business or whatever and I have Noah with me and folks come by and are like, we prayed for Noah too! He touched and still does touch so many! :) We have been blessed lately with 2 candy sales and one raised $183 and we were there from 3:30 to 8:30 and the other raised $254 and we were there from 12:30 till 8:30 :) Not bad huh! :) I had an opportunity to babysit a 3 month old for 3 weeks all the pay from that little one is going towards the adoption.

Noah's therepies are going well. He has it 3 days a week and has pretty much wrapped all 3 ladies around his little finger :) so cute :) Found out today they will come into the home and work with him till he is 7 so that is good :) then a diffferent program will take over if he still has needs :)

We are busy bees this summer trying all kinds of new activities. I will be posting in the next few days about our Dallas trip and a first that happend while we were there. Today we went to Noah's first movie. There is a place here doing a free movie 3 mornings a week so we went to see madagascar 2! This was Noah's first time to go to a movie for him! I did try to take him to one we adults went to when we first got home and thought he would sleep through but he didnt. lol but anyway we go in and at first we get this:
doesnt he look so big :) They have a booster seat thing and he sat in there with his mum mums and was find at first.
But the peace did NOT last. He wanted to get down and run around and he would cry and throw a fit and we had to take him out and eventually stayed out. He did NOT like this. So we ended with this:

the shot is not a good one for some reason but he was cryin and cryin. He is definitly two! LOL He will get there :)
We went to a local hands on science place after that. I will share some pics from that later :)
I wanted to show you the matching shirts I got my BOYS! I love that I will have BOYS! :) They wont wear these till winter but aren't they cute? Got a good deal on them :)
Here are a couple of cute Noah shots for you :)
this was a shot from our trip :) I said cheese and he smiled! yippee now if we can get him to keep that up :)
and this was a cute shot :) I love it :)

Please keep our fundraising in prayer. Things are going well, its just he needs to be home quick as possible and so they need to go better than good! :) Jumpin with iJeremiah will be the 19th here locally and I am praying that one does very very well :) I am workin on lots of other ideas. IF YOU HAVE AN IDEA, PLEASE let me know :)

Froggie boy Mama loves you soooooo much! I can't wait till you are home smiling and playing with your amazing big brother Noah! :) We are working sooo sooo hard sweet boy! HANG ON!!!!! until we get there catch my kisses in the wind!

Happy Memorial Day...news on things with us

Happy Memorial day to all of you out there! We visited a church yesterday that had an AMAZING Memorial Day Celebration and was very touching. We were quite blessed! Tonight we will eat some bar b q and just enjoy each other :) Noah and I will run and get some things for me to cook here in a bit and also make some copies of our Jumpin for Jeremiah flyer! I am getting so excited about that fundraiser. I am praying now very hard, please join me in prayer. I want to adverise it up and prayerfully it will do VERY VERY WELL :) Here is the flyer I made. I doubt you will be able to see it too good but you can get the gist on here!

If you live anywhere close and would be willing to pass out or put up flyers for this event PLEASE let me know and I can get a flyer or flyers as the case may be! I think this is gonna be a wonderful and fun night!

Noah seems to be maturing by leaps and bounds as of late and it is totally amazing to me! :) He is still talkin and talkin. He is tryin to say most things we say, even if he doesnt say it right he makes a sound to try and mimic us :) It is funny the things he can say that even strangers understand and then the things he can't seem to say. For instance he can say his version of Hallelujah! Now complete strangers can understand that is what he is tryin to say! :) Aint that a blip! :) this little bitty guy and a big word like that :) But then other small words he can't say. and some things he says like down is more just the d sound. and eat is the e sound. and more is MO lol :) and sometimes ma not sure with that. He says mama very well:) YIPPEE :) was a time I feared I would never hear those words! now he does not say it all the time but he can say and say it well :) He says Daa ee for daddy! :) sooo cute :) He is still signing some words and it so cute! He is INTO everything and he is tryin to climb everywhere! He still seems to have some major depth perception issues. he steps out on the front steps and we have to hold a hand because he wil just leap off! He does not and will not walk down a step at a time. He just seems to think he is gonna land where he is suppose too. This has happened when he has climbed up a bolster thing at Kid City. He turns around and expects to just step right back where he started, not climb back down. weird! lol and on the edge of my bed, he seems to NOT be able to understand that beds and chairs have ends to them and you will fall off! I am gettin good at running and catching!
Noah is definitly mr. Music! HE LOVES music and will be found dancing anytime he hears it :) tothe delight of anyone around :) sooo cute :) we spend the evening at some friends home last night and they had some miraccas and he just had a blast making music with those!

On a not as pleasant note it appears surgery is a possibility again for Panda boy! :( Mama is less than thrilled but wantshim to be safe. Pediatician says he has kissing tonsils and there is VERY little room for him to swallow, or breath through them. He thinks this is why he snores and at times appears to gasp at night. He also thinks he might not have as many choking issues with food if they are removed. We have an appointment with his ent on the 28th so we will find out more for sure then. It scares me to think he is havin trouble breathing! I wanted into ENT sooner but it was not to be :( ugggh

I am wondering if his other issue has something to do with the tonsiles. Noah will shove his hand in his mouth and make himself throw up. It is not when he is upset necessariy, it can be anytime. very very odd :( The other day I am driving a 20 minute drive and I heard the sound and I am talkin to him and telling him take your hand out and keep lookin in rear view mirror, well when I arrive he has throw up all over him and the car seat :( he does not even make alot of noise with it. I am wondering if he feels those big tonsils and he is tryin to rub them or something.
Well, I am on my laptop so that flyer is the only picture I have for today. I will try and post again soon with some Noah delight :)

I will be drawing for the avon gift set tomorow so if you want your name in the drawing please donate today! In honor of memorial day I will put your name in drawing twice for each $5 you donate to Jeremiah!

And this is the last week for the Target $50 Giftcard Giveaway!! I will draw for it on June 1st! :) So if you want your name in that giveaway please make a donation of $10 to the Jeremiah fund! I will also do a special for today Memorial day of 2 entries per donation of $10. We covet all your help and donations with all our heart and we hope some of these giveaways are a small way we can say thank you! :)

Please be in prayer for all our fundraisers, for ideas for fundraisers and for helpers for fundraisers. We are supposed to Walk for Jeremiah on Tuesday to try and sell some on the home and garden fundraising sheets. Please pray for folks willing to come out and and walk with us ;) Also for our baby bottle fundraiser :) Anyone can be involved in that. Basically you save your change in a baby bottle and when full you donate that to The Jeremiah Fund!

I pray you all have a blessed Memorial day and a fun time with your family at least at some point on this day :)

Jeremiah sweet baby boy. Mama aches to hold you in her arms, to snuggle your sweet baby neck and just smell your precious smell :) I KNOW that the day is coming soon! I KNOW our God is able baby and just hold on! We are working so hard and we are doing everything in our power to get the money QUICK! Till we get there baby catch my kisses in the wind!

Kisses in the Wind

KISSES IN THE WIND
I hold you in my heart and touch you in my dreams.
You are here each day with me, at least that's how it seems.

I know you wonder where we are... what's taking us so long.
But remember child, I love you so and God will keep you strong.

Now go outside and feel the breeze and let it touch your skin...Because tonight, just as always, I blow you kisses in the wind.

May God hold you in His hand until I can be with you.
I promise you, my darling, I'm doing all that I can do.

Very soon, you'll have a family for real, not just pretend. But for tonight, just as always, I blow you kisses in the wind.

May God wrap you in His arms and hold you very tight.
And let the angels bring the kisses that I sent to you each night.

When Love Takes You In!
