Not flesh of my flesh, nor bone of my bone; but, still miraculously, my own.
Never forget, for a single minute you didn't grow under my heart, but in it.

Hospital Ambush and such!

Hi all :)

We have been basically living at the hospital for several weeks. My mother in law has had a major go of things. She had to have a pacemaker put in after 2 hospitilizations after unexplained passing out. So then just a week and half after the pacemaker was put in she leaned over in her chair and her hip popped out of place! Go figure. So they had to pop it back in. In that process it turns out that the lower lead to the pacemaker jarred loose but the er staff had no clue and assured us that the pacemaker would be fine and sent her home that same saturday night. By monday she was back in er unable to breathe with tons and tons of blood on her lung! Now they are saying probable cancer. We are like what! could it possibly be the pacemaker or something. NO they tell us "that can't happen" I personally learned along time ago to never say Can't happen in medicine. Well that is just what did happen. The lead came out shot through her heart, the thoracic cavity and into the sac surrounding the lung. Hence the internal bleeding. She ended up having to have some transfusions and a major surgery on heart and lungs whereby her ribs were broken in the process. Before that surgery it was thought she might die. Praise God she did not! Then after surviving that repair surgery she had to have the pacemaker replaced so that her heart was working right. She was in ICU for awhile but is now in a regular room doing quite well! We literally took up residence at both hospitals she was in. Poor Noah was not only panda boy but waiting room boy, stroller boy. you name it! He did amazing actually :) Anyway onto the ambush! heeeheee Spending great amount of time in an ICU waiitng room is quite stressful and boring. You wait for hours on end for the few short minutes you are allowed to go in and see your loved one, then you do it all again. all for 5 short visits in a 24 our period. You begin going quite nutty to be honest! Well, some friends of ours Tina and Katherine decided to come and visit and keep us company. They came around the corner to the area in which we had made home away from home and were dart guns drawn and shooting! I joked later good thing we were on the heart unit because they just about gave me a heart attack!!! HEEHEE it was a total blast and I learned some things about my hubby in the process! Had no clue he would love dart gun wars so much! :) heehee new ideas for Christmas next year! heehee Only one injury in the ambush! Bobby's ear! Celeste got it good and it he hollard and then I was like WATCH out for the baby! lol I had no clue they could hurt someone. Nerf after all! Oh well, live and learn! After the ambush the hung out with us for a good while and Tina and Bobby played travel scrabble! It was a fun fun night. THANKS Tina and Kat! Here is a video of the hightlights of that evening for your viewing pleasure! More pics and things from the past couple weeks to come later when I have the time and energy to stay up late and get them up :)

WE send you blessings and Kisses in the Wind!

Glad to hear that your Mother in Law is doing much better. I'm sure that it's been a very emotional couple of weeks. Wonderful idea that your friends had to come to the hospital and cheer you guys up. Looks like a lot of fun. Noah is really turning into a little boy. I loved watching him flip through the pictures in his book and try to show you something. He's so sweet. Take care! Your family has been in my thoughts...

I am so glad she's okay! Yes, you're right- "never say never" in medicine. Doctors are trained and educated, but only GOD knows the details!

Baby N is so sweet! He seems to be adjusting so well and that makes my heart sing!

Kisses in the Wind

KISSES IN THE WIND
I hold you in my heart and touch you in my dreams.
You are here each day with me, at least that's how it seems.

I know you wonder where we are... what's taking us so long.
But remember child, I love you so and God will keep you strong.

Now go outside and feel the breeze and let it touch your skin...Because tonight, just as always, I blow you kisses in the wind.

May God hold you in His hand until I can be with you.
I promise you, my darling, I'm doing all that I can do.

Very soon, you'll have a family for real, not just pretend. But for tonight, just as always, I blow you kisses in the wind.

May God wrap you in His arms and hold you very tight.
And let the angels bring the kisses that I sent to you each night.

When Love Takes You In!
