Jumpin Jupiter!!! Playdate Fiasco...

Today Noah and I went to a preview class at a place in a neighboring town for Kindermusik! :) Noah was quite overwhelmed and overstimulated I fear! We actually previewed 2 different classes in a row as he is right on the cusp of being in either one. Oldest in one group or youngest in the other. By the end of the 2nd class he was kinda gettin into it as they do similar things just the 2nd one is a bit more involved. I think Noah is going to love it :) I do NOT have pictures of us in class because I was busy with a clinging vine most of the class. I will try eventually to get some pics if I can figure out how while I am doing it with him. Maybe I can work it out to have someone go with me at some point. I do want some of us both doing it so we will see. Here are some cute shots of us waiting in the car for the door to open! :) I do have some news :) I am ALMOST POSITIVE Noah said Yay today! :) In class when we cheered! He also appears to be saying Ears! :) He will practically pull your ears off! heehee but it really sounds like he is sayin Ears when he does. It is not clear but it sounds like he is saying it!

He just smiles so much with those gorgeous eyes! :)

Big grin! :) That's my boy!

I just thought this was adorable! it is hard to get good pics with him in my lap in the driver's seat while we were parked in parking lot but they may be close but still are adorable :)

After Kindermusik, Noah and I met Bobby and picked up Samuel who Bobby had acquired after we left and I took the boys on a playdate with my friend Cassie and her 13 month old Caleb. It is rare she has time to do something but had a break today! We went to a new local play place today called Jumpin Jupiter! It is a room with colorful rubbery floors and like bouncy houses with slides and obstacle courses and things like that. It has a play house and some riding toys. The thing is there is a certain amount of noise in the room to make these 6 or so blow up bouncy play things blow up and we walk in the door and Noah starts SCREAMIN! It TOTALLY freaked him out! I think the noise scared him. We only stayed 45 minutes and the lady was SHOCKED when we left so soon because it is a set price no matter how long you stay so she probably thought we did not get money worth. We had to really work with Noah to get him to even try and have fun. I am not sure I can say he ever really had fun because it just really seemed to make him nervous though he did calm down on and off and try a couple things. I had contemplated having his birthday party there next month. Boy and I glad I had decided against it already cuz I would have been out deposit money. Here are a few pictures of our first trip to jumpin jupiter. We are suppose to have a play date with a young girl and her toddler next week there but I am gonna have to see if we can do something else cuz I just dont think Noah is ready for this place yet.

We spent alot of time doing this. I would put him down to try to get him to do something and he wanted no part of it!

Here is the door he kept goin too. A couple times folks came in and he tried to leave! I probably should have just left immediatly but I kept thinking once I got in the bouncy's with him and showed him he would love them but nope.

arms up again! but you can see here he is watchin what Caleb and Sam are doing! CALEB LOVED IT! crawled ALLLL over the place with a smile plastered on his face! :)

Here they are in the little house they had! I am determined to find a good deal on one of these! Even nervous and all Noah loved this house! :) I want one for him at home! :) Samuel is in the house with him and Caleb is crawling in and that is cassie talkin to them :)

The BRIEF stay on one of the riding toys!

on a bouncy with Cassie but not happy bout it!

Mama and Noah bouncin :) you can tell we are in motion. lol LOOK at my glasses! heehee and my hair! NOT a becoming picture of me but the CLOSEST Noah got to smiling the whole time! :)
It saddens me that he did not enjoy it because there is just so few play places here to begin with and nothing really toddler oriented so I was so hoping he would like this one. There were other toddlers there during the tiem we went when big kids are in school but apparently it is not for Noah at this point! The search for an amazing play place HE will love continues :)
I got a call from Early Steps and Noah will begin Speech April 14th. For 3 months it will be once a week. At that point if the therapist can show why he would need it he can go up to 2 days a week. He will begin occupational therapy once a week in a week or so. and he will continue with Maria his Special Therapist who works on all areas on Monday afternoons! :) They are really workin to help us with Noah! They are also trying to get us some more copies of Signing time! :) He has done very well with the one we have :) I am excited! Well, I best get off here and finish what I must so I can sleep while the sleepin is good!
WE send you blessings and Kisses in the Wind!

Awww.... poor Noah. Andrew was really sensitive to noise and whirring fans at that age, too, so I sympathize with you. I really wish we lived closer. William and Andrew would have a blast together.

Don't give up on the play place and Noah. My boys always needed 2 or 3 times to get used to different places before they fell in love and would cry and beg to stay longer... I bet he will enjoy it more the next time!

Wow.. sounds like you had a day. Ups and downs (literally..lol). It is awesome that he is saying words. Jer did the same thing at his age on the noise from the bumper things. If they were outside it might have went better... lol. I agree with Lora. It takes a couple of times sometimes with kids. Well, with all of that therapy lined up Tami he should be talking in no time!!!!

Poor panda boy. Gracyn gets overstimulated too! Sensory issues. And as far as play dates, Peyton's 4, has no sensory issues, and they can still be a disaster, at least at first. Kids need time to check each other out - Peyton does better at someone else's house than our own for some reason. I think because their toys are "new" to him???? Give it another whirl! And that play house - it's worth every penny! Peyton got one from my dad for Christmas a couple years ago, and we keep it indoors. We get a ton of use, and it's the best priced for the size. I think $159 new. Try Craigslist???

Kisses in the Wind

KISSES IN THE WIND
I hold you in my heart and touch you in my dreams.
You are here each day with me, at least that's how it seems.

I know you wonder where we are... what's taking us so long.
But remember child, I love you so and God will keep you strong.

Now go outside and feel the breeze and let it touch your skin...Because tonight, just as always, I blow you kisses in the wind.

May God hold you in His hand until I can be with you.
I promise you, my darling, I'm doing all that I can do.

Very soon, you'll have a family for real, not just pretend. But for tonight, just as always, I blow you kisses in the wind.

May God wrap you in His arms and hold you very tight.
And let the angels bring the kisses that I sent to you each night.

When Love Takes You In!
